Groffie (she/her)

is a Vancouver-based singer-songwriter known for her lyrically rich songs and powerhouse vocals.

Raised in Richmond, BC, she found her voice early through choir and vocal jazz, but it was during college that her love for storytelling through music truly took hold. In 2020, after a life-altering sports accident, songwriting became more than a passion, it became a lifeline. What began as a quiet way to process pain evolved into a dynamic artistic practice rooted in vulnerability and emotional truth.

Described as a compelling live performer with an animated, story forward presence, Groffie has become a rising voice in the Vancouver music scene. With a sound some have described as, ‘‘If Kelly Clarkson and Taylor Swift had a baby, and that baby was conceived in the ‘90s at a Sixpence None the Richer Concert’’, Groffie blends the nostalgia of ‘90s/’00s pop with contemporary songwriting.

Having released her debut EP ‘Love Ain’t Like the Movies’ alongside producer Sound of Kalima (SOK) in 2024, and receiving her first sync placement the same year on the season 2 finale of CTV’s Farming for Love, Groffie is currently writing and recording new music as she continues to evolve as an artist.
