Groffie /ˈɡrɒf·ē/ noun — a name for sincerity, shimmer, and nostalgic pop feeling.

Groffie (she/her) is a Vancouver-based singer-songwriter known for her powerhouse vocals, emotional depth, and lyrically rich songs. Raised in Richmond, BC, she found her voice early through choir and vocal jazz, but it was during college that her love for storytelling through music truly took hold. In 2020, after a life-altering sports accident, songwriting became more than a passion- it became a lifeline. What began as a quiet way to process pain evolved into a dynamic artistic practice rooted in vulnerability and emotional truth.

In November 2024, Groffie released her debut EP, Love Ain’t Like The Movies, a cinematic and heartfelt exploration of the chaos, beauty, and disillusionment that often accompanies modern love. The project showcases her wide vocal range, from gritty low tones to soaring highs- and her ability to connect deeply with listeners through honest, first-person lyrics. Her musical influences range from Lizzy McAlpine and Sara Bareilles to Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish.

A compelling live performer with an animated, story-forward presence, Groffie has become a rising voice in the Vancouver music scene. Whether solo or with her band, she creates intimate, emotionally resonant experiences that leave audiences feeling both seen and moved.
